Hearings will be held for the Audit the Federal Reserve bill Friday in the Financial Services Committee of the House of Representatives. Support it!
The lack of sunlight in the fed's activities creates uncertainty for the market at best, and quite possibly hurts our economy. Transparency would strengthen it by giving investors and other participants a more full picture on the best places to put their money. Regardless of the economic reasons for an Audit, though, it is a moral imperative that we hold them accountable for how they are spending our money and for the deals to which they are committing both us and future generations.
